According to the filmmaker, six people initially volunteered to donate a kidney, but after nine months of searching for a suitable donor, his brother eventually donated one of his kidneys.
However, the transplant was later rejected by his body, forcing him to undergo another kidney transplant.
TG Omori said his brother is now living with one kidney after making the sacrifice to save his life.
“I battled kidney failure for over six months in a hospital in Ikoyi. Six people were willing to donate, but after nine months of searching, my brother donated his kidney, only for my body to reject the transplant. I had to undergo another transplant, while my brother now has to live with one kidney.”
