The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has arrested a 32-year-old man, Adetokunbo Adeshina, over allegations of phone-based threats and extortion.
According to the NSCDC, the suspect allegedly orchestrated a series of phone calls aimed at threatening and extorting unsuspecting members of the public.
The command said investigations into the matter are ongoing, while the suspect is expected to face prosecution in accordance with the law upon the conclusion of the investigation.
